Since February 6th, we've had a train service! You can now reach Ebbw Vale Parkway from Cardiff Central via Rogerstone, Risca and Pontymister, Cross Keys, Newbridge and Llanhilleth. From the station you can get a taxi to Eugene Cross Park or climb aboard the rail link bus to the town centre from where it's a short walk to the rugby club.
By Bus
the main links from the cities of Cardiff and Newport are the X4 bus service that runs between Cardiff and Hereford via Pontypridd, Merthyr Tydfil, Ebbw Vale and Abergavenny in both directions and the 22 service that runs between Newport and Ebbw Vale via Cwmbran, Pontypool and Aberbeeg in both directions. You are advised to check with the operators, Stagecoach.

Whichever direction you are travelling from, landmarks near to the ground include TESCO, Ebbw Vale Leisure Centre, Job Centre and the Civic Centre.
Free parking is available at the Civic Centre, the multi-storey car park in the town centre and at the back of the Bridgend Hotel, near Pontygof School.
From the M4
Leave the M4 at Junction 28 (Tredegar Park) and, at the roundabout, follow the A467 for RISCA and BRYNMAWR. (This will be first left if you are coming from the West but well round to your right if you've come from the East.)
You very soon hit another roundabout at which you should follow the A467 and the same signs. This is a half-decent dual carriageway. Through a series of roundabouts, keep on the A467, following BRYNMAWR signs.
Approximately 12 miles after leaving the M4 you will pass through a fairly large intersection with traffic lights at CRUMLIN. Just before you get to the traffic lights at CRUMLIN, you will see on your left the factory of the Japanese Hi-Fi/ Video Manufacturer AIWA.
Keep ahead, follow the A467 which is now single carriageway. At the next roundabout, take the first left onto the A4046. You will see signs for FESTIVAL PARK. You will travel along a narrow road with pine forests and, after a few miles take the third exit at the roundabout to bypass the small township of CWM.
Stay on this road until you come to WAUNLWYD and look out for the PARK HOTEL, a grey stone building ahead and slightly to your right. You need to turn right, just before the PARK HOTEL. As you travel along the road, you will see on your left the site of the former Steelworks and, if you stay on this road you will, in a couple of miles, find yourself right outside Ebbw Vale Rugby Club.
From the A465 (Heads of the Valleys Road)
At the Rassau Roundabout follow the exit signposted EBBW VALE (1st exit if westbound, 3rd if eastbound).
Carry straight on. Shortly, on your left will be the hospital Ysbyty'r Tri Chwm and on the right, Ebbw Vale Comprehensive School and the Ebbw Vale campus of Coleg Gwent.
At the roundabout, take the first exit. On your left is the Fire Station. Carry straight on. At the next roundabout is Ebbw Vale Rugby Club.
Accommodation and Refreshment
There are many Guesthouses and Hotels in the surrounding area, all within a 15 / 20 minute drive of Ebbw Vale. Locally, the Ebbw Vale Guesthouse, the Park Hotel, and the Premier Travel Inn are closest to Eugene Cross Park.
You will probably want to sample The Welfare's clubhouse atmosphere at Eugene Cross Park, but there are plenty of other hostelries within walking distance of the ground, notably the Bridgend Hotel (immediately outside the main gate), the Kings Arms, Beaufort Arms and, in the town centre, Picture House (a J. D. Wetherspoons pub that does good value food), the Seven Arches and the Market Tavern (a live music pub). The town centre has various take-away food outlets serving Indian, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Southern Fried Chicken, kebabs, pizza and good old fashioned fish and chips and there is the excellent Tara Mahal Indian restaurant.
